Šlojíř Vein at the 1st Level of the Pepř Mine, at the Site of the Rich Gold Discovery from the 1940s, 114 meters from the Drift. The gold mineralization in the ore bodies reached thousands of grams per ton of mined rock at the intersection of the Šlojíř vein and the Cross Vein. Gold pieces up to 40 grams in weight were found here, but due to the discovery occurring during the occupation, unfortunately, they have not survived. While the Cross Vein itself contains no mineralization, the intersection of these two veins created ideal conditions for gold deposition. The next photograph shows the largest preserved thickness of the Šlojíř vein at the same location, with vein thicknesses including the wall rock reaching around 1 meter. A photograph of the same spot from the mining era is also preserved.
