We spent several enjoyable moments with our new toy. First, we needed to disconnect all the hoses connecting the various parts on the surface. We removed the jibs, arms, support column, and air distribution system from the VV4. This reduced it to transportable components, allowing us to begin the transfer to the underground. There, on the same day, we reassembled the VV4 to its original state. The most challenging part was the support column, but with a system of levers and a bit of ingenuity, we managed to get it back into place. Now, all that remains is to connect the air and hydraulic hoses and attempt to bring this legendary machine with its Verne-esque appearance back to life.
